RWD Staff has been involved with over a hundred master plans for Regional/Community Parks and Sport Complexes. Each one of those projects has increased our understanding of the requirements for matches and practices; comfort and safety of the athletes, spectators, and officials; equipment and maintenance storage; and the detailing and performance each facility requires for the various athletic and sports governing bodies.
RWD also understands that a high-quality athletic complex must provide recreation opportunities for parents, siblings, and non-sports users who do not watch or participate in sports and must also offer activities for athletes between matches and before or after practices. This knowledge has given RWD a great perspective on master planning for specific sports need while meeting the recreational needs of the general population, and an even a greater eye for detail to assure RWD can envision each master plan through all of the details that compose the whole. We have discovered how little details can improve playability, provide a quality experience, and saves hours in maintenance time, and we can quickly explore options and costs because of RWD’s deep experience and project data bank.
